2012 RACE

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) fulfils its corporate social responsibilities by enthusiastically promoting a healthy & sustainable living, encouraging reading & holistic development and caring for the underprivileged. SHKP has been active in community efforts and encourages its staff to develop a healthy lifestyle. The management also participates in these initiatives, works together with staff, business partners and customers to give back to the community, and continues to develop premium properties in keeping with its Building Homes with Heart philosophy.


In end of 2012, International Commerce Centre (ICC) hosted the first "SHKP Vertical Run - Race to Hong Kong ICC" (previous named as "Race to ICC-100 - SHKP Vertical Run for the Chest"), opening a new page in local stair-climbing history. The Race was also a high-profile event in Hong Kong's sports for charity calendar and helped promote a healthy and active lifestyle in the community.


About 300 runners faced the incredible challenge of climbing 2,120 steps at ICC, participated in corporate relay or individual race. The finish line was at the Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck on the 100th floor of ICC; rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree view of the city. Two-time Empire State Building Run-up champion Melissa Moon also came to Hong Kong to compete in the race.
